The Beginning..

Our fellowship began in the early 1970s, when a small church called the Potter’s House in Prescott, Arizona, began to see an influx of hippies and young people from the wrong side of the tracks give their lives to Christ and see their lives turn around.

The Pastor, Wayman Mitchell, began to train these young people for ministry within the church setting, emphasising character, Bible teaching, Biblical standards and discipleship, then planting them out to begin new churches in towns across the US.

The Gospel movement spread like wildfire. In the early 80s they sent a couple overseas to pioneer a new church in Perth, Western Australia. Today that church numbers in the hundreds and is consistently planting new works nationally and internationally.

There are currently around 2100 Potter’s House Christian churches that span over 100 nations, including more than a hundred across Australia…

Many years ago the church in Perth sent a couple over to Brisbane to pioneer a brand new church.
This church, Pastored by Peter and Kerri Field & based in Strathpine is a thriving multicultural congregation with a mission to reach the world for Jesus.

The church here in Logan Central was planted by the Strathpine church & endeavors to reproduce the vision of our fellowship – to reach as many people as we can with the good news of Jesus Christ & to serve and support the members of our congregation.
